Women Who Inspire Contest
The Women’s Employment Opportunity Project, Inc. (WEOP), Mother’s Voices of Georgia, and EP-CAT will celebrate Women’s
History Month with a “WOMEN WHO INSPIRE” contest. Winners
will be recognized at the annual “From A Woman’s Perspective”
conference scheduled for March 14, 2008, at the Atlanta Technical
College, Atlanta, GA. The contest recognizes women from all walks
of life who exemplify a commitment to improve their community, their families and who are leaders shaping the future.
CALLING FOR NOMINATIONS
Nominate a women that is a founder of a non-profit organization, a dedicated volunteer, a mother that has overcome obstacles to support her family; an unsung community hero or anyone that captures the essence and spirit of women “Leading and Shaping The Future.”
HOW TO NOMINATE
Participants are invited to nominate a special woman by submitting an essay (of no more than 500
words) on or before February 13, 2008. Also, submit an electronic photograph of the nominee. Include the following in your essay:
- A brief background on nominee
- Overview of how she has had an impact on your life or others
- Any life lessons you learn from nominee
- How she is leading and shaping the future

THE PROCESS
A panel of judges will review the entries and a finalist will be announced at the annual event on March 14, 2008. The photographs and stories of the ten finalists will be highlighted on www.fromawomansperspective.org for the month of March, 2008 – in honor of women’s History month.
